Opportunities for Adults
Adult Sunday School
Currently on Hold
Come explore the lessons and teachings of the gospel. This fun, interactive class, heartily encourages questions and discussion . This group meets from September through May.
Adult Choir
Alternating Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
For anyone who loves to join voices in prayerful music! This group practices weekly and sings publicly at Sunday worship during the school year and on Easter and Christmas.
Bell and Chime Choir
Alternating Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Our Bell and Chime Choir is open to those who have the desire to be part of the music ministry of Advent. The ability to read music is not required. We practice weekly.
Men’s Breakfast
Third Thursday, 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Come get to know other men from Advent and our community. Breakfasts are held monthly at a local restaurant and feature speakers and varied topics of spiritual and secular interests.
Quilters
Mondays, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Members meet to work on quilts that are auctioned or sold to provide financial support for important church efforts. Experienced quilters are encouraged to join, but we will happily teach anyone who wants to learn.
Who’s Ready to Play Dominoes and Card Games?
First Tuesday, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Our monthly card and game day will be returning soon! If you enjoy playing dominoes and various card games, join us on the designated Tuesday. No prior experience necessary; we’ll teach you how to play!
Adult VBS
Summer
Adult VBS is a four-weekday summer excursion into scripture, featuring music, teaching, discussion, activities, snacks, catered lunch, and a project to serve a community need. Come learn and grow with us!

There are many opportunities throughout the year to build relationships with one another. Keep an eye out for events like a Valentine’s Day lunch, Easter breakfast, Reading Phillies baseball game, and our annual church picnic.
