Youth can be the catalyst for positive change in the world! At Advent, students in 7th through 12th grade are prepared to live lives of faith and service. Our programs are designed to give them the tools to become grounded adults with principles and faith.
Confirmation
We provide a more mature understanding of Lutheran tradition for seventh and eighth grade students to prepare them for their adult roles in the church. Confirmation is conferred upon those who are prepared to accept adult membership in the faith community.
The Confirmation class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:00 -9:45 a.m. from September through May.
ELCA Youth Gathering
The ELCA Youth Gathering occurs every three years and will occur in 2024. This amazing event places our students with 30,000 students and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service, and fellowship, young people grow and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives. Our youth undertake service projects to collect the funds to support the cost of attending the ELCA Youth Gathering.
